Free St. Patty's Day Printable

Good morning everyone! Is everyone excited that its Friday?!? I know that I am because that means its Freebie Friday, and I have a great free printable to share with everyone today.

As you may know, Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner. I had big plans to make a garland, like the Valentine's Day one, you can find it here ( just if you're curious). But its seems that I'm almost out of time, and I have a lot on my plate. But I did find a great quote about St. Patrick's day:

"Never iron a four-leaf clover, because you don't want to press your luck."  ~Author Unknown

How much sense does that make? Tons! Anyway, I thought that it was the cutest quote that I have seen in a while so I decided to make a printable!

Free Printable Moving Checklist

Sometimes moving is something that is necessary, and great. Your new place may be bigger than the one old, it may be closer to your family, or the new house has some great aspect about it. Sometimes, moving is sad and bitter. Some people are forced to move due to finical reasons, divorce, or some other horrible situation. But no matter what moving is a big job. Plus, moving can be a hassle. Just. One. Big. Hassle. A lot of work goes into packing up everything that you own and relocating.

My Move

The hubby and I moved at the end of December; so, I can still feel the sting of moving. Even though our new place is much larger than our old place there was still a lot of stress involved. I seriously had no idea how much stuff I had accumulated over the past year. It was pretty amazing and all of the little tidbits and knick-knacks that I had stored and hidden throughout the house. I became super stressed just thinking about everything that I had to do, but I got through it. And you can too.

Moving Tips

1. A Packing System is Essential

A packing system is the best way to keep track of your stuff. There are several different systems that you can use. Try writing down everything that you put in a box on a sheet of paper and tape it to the box. Another packing system is to take a picture of the contents of the box and use a numbering system. Personally, I like the idea of taking a picture of the contents and numbering the boxes. It saves time because you will not have to write everything out by hand.

2. Utilities

Everyone needs lights, water, and sometimes gas. Unfortunately, I was unlucky because none of my utilities could be transferred. So, I had to put down major deposits to get everything turned on. If you're lucky, your utilities can simply be transferred to your new place, but if not, do some research and find the specific companies that provide service in your area.

3. Pack a Bag

Moving is hectic and during the week of moving I could barely think, let alone find any clothes in the mess. I packed a bag with the basic essentials. I packed a coupe of outfits, soap, my toothbrush, a hairbrush, and a few other essentials. That way I would not have to worry, and I could have immediate access to anything that I needed when I needed it. I packed a bag like this for my husband as well. If you have multiple people in your family, pack a bag for each family member.

4. Make Sure Everything is Clean

Before you pack your clothes or dishes make sure that they're clean. Yes, you will probably have to rewash your dishes and a few pieces of clothing, but at least you know that everything is clean. Hopefully, if you pack everything correctly, you won't have to clean anything. This just makes moving easier, and less of a hassle once you get to your new place.

5. Groom Your Pets

Before moving your pets make sure that they're clean and free of any bugs or fleas. Your new house should be clean so keep it that way! Before I moved, I washed all three of my dogs, and I also gave them their monthly flea treatment. When they got to the new house, they smelled fresh and clean. I didn't have to worry about them wallowing on the couch or on the carpet and leaving nasty, puppy odors behind.

Freebie Friday: Three Valentine Cards

Today is Friday, and you know what that means, its Freebie Friday! I have three Valentine card printables for today because Valentine's Day is looming near. Unfortunately, I don't have any children (yet) but I still like to make paper crafts and give cards out to my friends and family members to celebrate Valentine's Day.

History of Valentine's Day

I plan to get more into the history of Valentine's Day next week, but I want to go over somethings that I learned from simply researching this day filled with hearts, love, and tiny hardly clothed babies with bows and arrows. Since I was in middle school I believed that Valentine's Day was about friendship and not romantic love. This is because Saint Valentine befriended the daughter of his jailer. Before he was executed, it was rumored that he signed his last letter to the girl with "Your Valentine."

Flash Forward to Modern Day

Valentine's Day is a widely celebrated holiday in several countries today. Although, some countries do not celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. Some societies celebrate Valentine's Day on July 6th, July 30th, and June 12th.

Free Menu Planner

Do you struggle with coming up with ideas for dinner every, single day?

Has dinner become more of a chore than anything else?

Do you wish that there was an easier way to plan out your family's meals?

The Never-ending Dinner Ficasco

Creating and planning a delicious dinner for you and your family can be quite the chore. On top of chores, work, and everything else that you have to do, planning dinner is probably the least of your worries. That is until dinner time looms closer and closer.

The mad dash to get a healthy and delicious dinner cooked is no stranger to me or anyone else, and it takes all of the fun out of preparing a meal. Instead of planning all of your meals a few hours before you are supposed to eat, why not plan out a weekly menu.

Making Dinner Easier

Planning out a weekly menu can be a blessing. For starters, you will be able to prepare ahead of time and take some of the frustration and irritation out of cooking. Also, your family can go through the week's menu and if they don't like something they can tell you in advance.

How to Download the Free Menu Planner

If you are looking to grab your free menu planner just click here. You can print out as many copies as you need! Or you can frame free menu planner and write on the glass to save lovely trees!

2014 New Year Resolutions with a Free Printable

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and an even better New Year! My holiday was filled with family, friends, and A LOT of delicious, yummy foods. The hubster and I have been super busy with the holidays, moving, and work. But, I'm finally back and you can expect a lot more posts from me. My new place is so much bigger than the last house that we lived in. I'm really hoping to do a series on how to declutter and organize your kitchen in the next few weeks, but my posts have been so sporadic that you never really know whats going to show up here. (^-^)

Free New Year Resolution Printable

You can grab a free copy here

Welcome 2014!

A new year is here and with a new year comes your resolutions. Most new year resolutions are things like, quit smoking, lose weight, and just making life better. Most times, the resolutions that we make during the new year are quickly forgotten after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. To simplify your life, you need to do more than just declutter your house. Decluttering and simplifying your life requires you to organize your house and declutter your diet.

New Year Resolutions often get tossed

I have to admit that I'm guilty of tossing and forgetting my new years resolutions mere days after I have meticulously written out my goals, hopes, and dreams for the year. This year will be different because instead of focusing one a specific goal or goals that I want to accomplish this year, I will be focusing more of my energy on changing broader aspects of my life. I see this as me breaking through the chains of self doubt and emerging as a better person all the way around. Who cares if I lose those last pesky fifteen pounds? Isn't getting into an exercise routine and cleaning up my diet more important to my health?

My resolutions...

Like, I've said, my resolutions are way more broad than what I typically do. Here are my nine resolutions for 2014:
1. Learn how to crochet.
2. Teach my husband how to play the piano.
3. Give more time to my family.
4. Create beautiful works of art.
5. Discover a different culture.
6. Read more books.
7. Watch more sun rises.
8. Listen too amazing new artists that I have never heard of before.
9. Be more positive.

What are your plans for this year?

Have you made out your New Year Resolutions and if so what are your goals for this year? As always, feel free to leave any questions or comments below!
